I disagree wholeheartedly about there being nothing family-oriented in the area. There are the Cape River Heritage Museum, Discovery Playhouse, River Campus Museum, and the Lazy L Safari Park. In addition there are plenty of arts galleries downtown. Now if you are looking for FREE activities, there are fewer but they are not far between, you just have to look a little harder and think out of the box a little more.
